It's so easy to get dragged down in our everyday lives.  Teachers are no different. In fact, if you know a teacher, or are one, chances are you have seen the perils of the education field.  Giant class sizes, low pay, dwindling respect, you know all the cliches by now.

This is the site to go to when you want to hear things that help and inspire.  I'm going to focus on three key areas.

1. The International Classroom (and how to rock it!)

2. Financial Independence (how to get enough money that you don't have to worry about staying in a job you hate)

3. Things I'm passionate about like Photography, Percussion, Cooking, Travel, Reading, TV, and anything else that strikes my fancy.

If that stuff appeals to you, read along!  Join us! Comment! I'm happy you're here!

I've been teaching internationally (off-and-on, but mostly on) for 14 years. I've taught English, Social Studies, Photography, Music, Health, and Chess. I've coached Academic Games, Chess, and Softball.  I'm currently teaching in my 5th country, (Thailand, USA, Bahrain, China, United Arab Emirates) and I have no plans to stop any time soon, although I am VERY happy in Dubai and want to stay here for however long I can.

My side hustles include being a musician in local bands (I play percussion!), photography (although not as much as I used to), teaching photography to adults, and I used to tutor a lot, although I haven't in a long time.

I am obsessed with Personal Finance and making sure I have enough money to not be forced to stay in a bad situation just because I need the pay check.
